Need help identifying project car

I bought this car a long time ago thinking I could work on this with my Dad. 15 years later it is still sitting unrestored. I need to sell but I really don’t know much about the car. Can anyone help me identify exactly what year and model this is? Also, what is a good asking price for a project like this? I believe all of the original parts are in the car including all original engine.

From my research I believe this is a 1940 Ford 2dr Sedan.

Thanks. I was thinking of asking 1k but I don't even know if that's in the ballpark.

I should mention this is an 8 cylinder. Body on the car is in good shape nothing is rusted through.

For 1K, I will crawl to wherever you are, bestow sexual favors, and carry the car home on my back. This butchered up mess is going for 2500 and is probably a pretty good deal.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1940-Ford-2dr-Sedan-Project-Custom-Hot-Rod-TRat-Rod-Kustom-Tudor-Parts-/300714448955?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4603fa583b Bare body, wrong chassis, etc. I wouldn't take a dime less than 6-8000 for your car. I may be off on the 8K, but I doubt it.

Thanks for setting me straight on the price. I'm not looking to get rich but I don't want to get taken advantage of.

A few people sent me a private message asking location. The car is in Southwest Iowa.

My family is from What Cheer. If I was close, I'd come by for a look. Good luck with the sale

And here all us old timers thought that the late, great Bennie Bootle bought up all of those. Guess he missed one.:D

Bennie was my Team Captain at the very first AGNM Meet I judged at in Dayton, Ohio. That man sure did love and collect 1940 Fords. :)
