Showing the color of the babbitt, as it should be when the tinning, and pouring Temperatures of any bearings are right. If the Babbitt comes out White, in color, Temperatures were not right, and will have imperfections, seen, or unseen, as behind the bearings, against its shell, or backing. You can see the bearings do NOT have babbitt laying on top of the metal, like water on wax, that is one way you can tell if the babbitt has stuck to the tinning, as just because the shell was tinned, does not mean by a long shot that it stuck.
