Guest brian j
Hi. I'm not a DB guru, and i'm sure a few guys will pipe in. Certain DB engines like my 4 cylinder 1919 engine use an "extended" reach plug that places the spark in just the right place over the piston. Using a shorter plug will work, but you will foul it in a short time, as the shorter plug becomes "shrouded" by the cylinder head dome area, where it can't have easy access to the gas "charge" coming in. So if you're supposed to have an extended reach plug in a 1927 engine, that's what you want to use. But i don't know for sure if your engine needs this type of plug. Regards.
