if you want a car in really good condition you should try and scrape another 10k together, decent 40 deluxe coupe projects are bringing

I agree with you but on the other hand, I've seen 1939 1940 fords on ebay auctions struggle in the 20k price range and the same with barrett jackson although those sold for more. Those sites are not where the real market is but still. The market isn't where it used to be 10 years ago.

Now, I found a few, completely restored all metal street rods and in really good condition 1939's & 1940's but they were already sold. They sold for a few grand less than $20,000.

I am willing to raise the budget but it depends on the car and the condition.
