'34 Ford Serial #

Recommended Posts

Have a 1934 Ford Sedan in the shop with the serial # 1023821 (let's say) stamped into the frame as it should be. The car has a California title with the VIN K1023821. Any theories as to what the K prefix signifies? The K is on the title only, not on the frame.

All the early V-8 Fords had a star before the number and after the number. These were hand stamped and some times not too deep. Is it possible someone could have percieved a weakly stamped star for a K? Thats all I can think of.

I think it is just a typo erro. The star is on the 8 key and close to the k in a hurry it could have happened. my 2 cents worth Lee
