Original Catalytic Converter. Genuine GM (AC brand). Late 1970's, Early 1980's

Recommended Posts

I have a used, genuine GM catalytic converter for sale. It was removed from a 50,000 mile, 1979 Buick Riviera, with 350 engine. It has the original "AC" brand name embossed into the shell. This converter was working fine when removed. We took it off as part of a conversion to dual exhaust (not an easy task!).

The number stamped on the converter is T78400. It as a large ball at one end with a 2-1/4" I.D. and a 2-1/2" I.D. pipe at the other end, with a 4-bolt flange. The general aftermarket part number for this converter is 1208, if you need to determine if this unit fits your application.

The shell of this catalytic is clean and solid. The black marking at one end of the exterior appears to be just undercoating.

The price is $60, plus actual cost shipping. Thanks for looking. John
