Does anyone know what kind of car this is?

I would like to know what kind of car this is if anyone can help. I would think that it was the car of a wealthy man because this photo was taken in the country of upstate New York where most of the residents are farmers and small sole propietorship business owners. Although it looks like a painting, it must be one of those pictures where they enhanced a black and white photo slide with color paints. The road and church are still existing and being used regularly as seen in the second photo....
