Guest Richard D
Hello all, when I use either turn signal the flash rate varies from normal to a quick flash then long pause then fast blink then back to normal. 4-Ways work fine. I think there is a module for turn signal operation or could it just be a flasher?ThanksRichardPS. I just looked at electronic flashers, last time I bought one I am sure it was around three dollars, now they are fifteen $. Of course it was back in the 1980s
Guest Mc_Reatta
Should just be the flasher. That sets up the pulsations. The turn / hazard switch directs them to the proper lamps and relays. So if all the lamps act the same its probably the flasher. If they act different side to side or front to back, its the switch or maybe a relay. Assumes all blubs are functioning. Guest crazytrain2
I'm going to ask others to please confirm :- make sure you replace the turn signal flasher and not the 4-way flasher (There are 2 of them). They're around $8/ea.
NCReatta
I just bought one not long ago.. It was not $15.. I don't remember what it was, but i wouldn't have bought it if it was $15! Just a suggestion, remove all the necessary trim pieces, then turn on the turn signal. You'll be able to find it pretty easily that way.
Guest Richard D
Thank You all, it turned out to be the flasher, it was the original. Jeez, it only lasted 22 years. I put in an electronic flasher, it was about five dollars more than the thermal type but will flash at steady rate all the time no matter the load.
