Guest DickJr
The engine was running fine. Now fuel pump won't operate. Took off timing chain cover and the eccentric appears fine. How loose shoud chain be?Can it cause the problem?
Guest DF_Pack
I have the same problem, although I haven't disassembled anything yet. Can anyone shed any light on this?
avgwarhawk
The chain should have very little to no play. Play in the chain allows for both crank and cam to be out of time. It robs good performance. Im not familiar with the 53 fuel pump set up. Im guessing a arm off the pump that is actuated by a lobe on the crank? Perhaps the pump has suffered the ill effects of ethanol.
