MarkV
Well I finally bought an Optima 6 Volt for the 1921 '490'! So, I tried to start it, but, it flooded out and the battery was low. Anyway, after a little charging it fired up for a second then died. So, hopefully tomorrow I will have it running (had to charge the battery again, the starter pulls a lot of power!). Does anyone have any tips on starting a car after a year?
michel88
You could try some starting fluid (ethyr) in the carb. It may take a couple of times to get it to keep running. I use it to start cars that have been sitting a while and it usually works very well. Also good for starting up lawnmowers after sitting all winter.
