Guest cbarranco
hello everybody, just joined up tonight so go easy on me, ok here we go, i have the opportunity to purchase a "1926 chrysler h60/62 pickup truck". now i have been researching this day and night and can not find anything on this truck. there was one site i came across and someone else had this truck and said there was only 3 produced in canada for chryslers dealers?? i have no idea i am confused. heres what i know about the truck, the vin is YS573S model 62 or 60. body by fisher... numbers on motor 56529-6 (straight 6/flat head), 6 lug wooden wheels, the front windshield has an arc on the bottom that follows the hood... hydraulic brakes... now the one the thing that does concern me is that the frame has been stretched 12" and is now a 121" wheel base but the cab is unaltered, has original wooden bed... anything anyone can tell me would be great. any questions feel free to ask, i'll try posting some pics.. the complete truck is the one i did find in california that is "1 of 3 from canada". thanks! 28 Chrysler
The "YS" in the serial number is for a 1926 U.S. built vehicle. The Canadian serial number would start with "BW".The motor number for a 1926/27 Model 60 would start with the letter "H". The 1927/28 Model 62 motor number would start with a "M". The serial number for the motor is on the upper left side of the block just under the second head boltI hope this will help
HarryJ
It appears to be a pickup cobbled up from a Chrysler sedan........these coversions were done in the day.............I have seen other makes treated the same.
