Guest leroy newell
I am not sure if this will help you because my car is a 1926 chevrolet, though to take mine off is very simple. There is a rod that goes from fire wall to the top center of the radiator and right above the top radiator hose and under the radiator cover is a nut I take off. There are two bolts on the bottom side of the radiator I just loosen and the radiator should be loose to pull forward enough to pick the rod that runs through the center of the hood up and out. On some similar to mine I know you may have to loosen top radiator hose to get the radiator to pull forward also. It depends on how long the hose is. Let me know if this is any help to you. Im curious. Good luck!!
Guest Fairlaneman66
HEY LEROY, THANKS. I did start today. I removed the "v" shaped rods. Cut out the old top rad. hose. My arrangement sounds similar to yours, btw. I have not removed the top brace yet that the v rod attached to. so the bottom 2 bolts on each side are still intact also. I am glad to hear you say the whole "package" should move forward. A LITTLE BACKGROUND. I haven't yet sarted this vehicle. I was focusing on the ignition items and I wanted to start the car b4 tearing apart the radiatior. My radiator is "weeping" in several locations. BUT NOW I can see I will start on the cooling now. Thanks again. U may not hear from me as I have to take a week off. I find that the Filling Station d/n have thermostat housings. I hope to clean mine up.
