70's were better than we remember.

Add one more to the stable. A very pretty 1975 Coupe DeVille ( Dunbarton Green) with 37,000 on the clock. My consolation gift for not winning the Mega Lottery !;)

That's a really nice Cadillac. I've always liked the 75's and 76's and are what I consider the last of the true Cadillacs. I remember them very well when they were new. The downsized replacements in '77 just looked anemic to me from the very beginning.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, rw. Yes, it's my '74 " Mandarin Orange" DeVille on ebay. I seemed determined to corner the market on these wild plaid Cads. I know nearly everyone chases muscle cars but for me, these " last of the land yachts" are stunningly beautiful.....as a bonus, you can find low-miles, great shape cars for a fraction of muscle car prices. For me: the bigger the better and the more outlandish the color/interior, even more so....yeah, the 70's, baby !

Sweet, love those interiors. Might have to dig out the old gold chains and the old pioneer supertuner ! Looking for one with mint original paint. The wilder the better.

Well, this " Dunbarton Green" DeVille has original paint though the bumper fillers are replaced and a close, but not exact, paint match. original top is clean and unmarred with no rust at bottom trim. Bright work is OUTSTANDING. The interior is mint. It's weird but no cruise, power trunk release or pulldown. I guess when options were chosen by individuals you got some pretty odd variations on options. All-in-all, a really nice car.

Did you see the " Phonecian Ivory" '76 listed also ?. I went to view it in-person. No doubt a 18,000 mile car but bumper fillers need replaced and significant bubbling where top meets body on driver side. I was tempted to send owner a message and politiely ask that he at least mention these rather expensive repairs. Caution, caution, caution.

Some great pictures of a really nice Cadillac!

Back then, cruise control was a separate option, but was usually ordered along with tilt steering wheel (at least in non-Cadillacs). Might have been that the vehicle was ordered at a dealership where the clientel didn't get on the highway that much or didn't think they needed a "cruise control". Similar with the power trunk release/pull-down? Or it was special ordered to a particular owner's liking.

Thanks for the pictures!
