I have a few hoods what are you looking for

John Hanson

Hampshire IL.

I need a hood for a 64 riviera, my understanding is that it'll swap with a 65. let me know if you have one. thanks

Try CTC Autoranch. They are in Denton, Texas but ship everywhere. Last time I was there I saw a few that didn't have rust under the leading edge. Ask for Dave. Good luck. PRL

I'll give him a call, thanks.

:) I'm in LaSalle ,Il, and am near a yard that has a very good hood on a '63 (should be the same , and price should be right) but he's only there on Saturdays, so PM me if you want me to check this Sat.

I have a 64 Riv that has the front part of my hood badly rusted. I would be very interested too. don't care about the color, just as rust free as possible. If you can please let me know about any good candidates.

Thanks

Russ

Texas is close for me as for the earlier posting in Denton

63 is not the same .

Dick,

According to my Buick factory parts manual, the hood is the same part number for 63-65. Group 8.000 part number 1365114. The emblem and attaching parts are different, but the hinges are the same, the insulator pad is the same, and the hood latch is the same.

If I remember right, the 63 hood is different from the 64 but it will work. The difference is in the hole for the hood trim and hood ornament. The 63 front hole in the hood will need to be enlarged a bit to accommodate the 64 hood ornament and trim.
