Spent another beautiful Saturday at the junkyard with my Dad. We had so much stuff loaded on our little truck we were wondering if it would get us back over the mountain on the way home. We made it with no problems(other than the darned GPS not working, dang solar flares!!:mad:). I took two more videos of the section that I hadn't visited yet. Took some pictures of our newly acquired "junk" as well. Our neighbors are gonna' start calling us Sanford and Son pretty soon. I managed to rip the top part of my thumb off trying to open the door on that '56 Buick too! I was having so much fun I didn't even know it until I looked down at my hand much later and realized I was missing a pretty good sized chunk of thumb:eek:!! Enjoy!

Yes they are going to the crusher, but the really bad ones are going first and ones that have some valuable stuff, he will make very reasonable deals on. The problem is that with gas prices what they are, it is hardly worth the time to come cause most if the stuff is pretty poor. Having said that, there is stuff laying all over that place. The old guy that used to own the place was in the wrecking business and just dumped what was left on his truck every night on his own property and never sold anything.

That's a shame. I find your videos intriging to watch. I always had thing for junkyards and exploring. Each car had a story. I sure would like some pieces from a 54 Buick Special. The odd bits I will not find anymore. Keep posting more video if you have the time.

Thanks warhawk. I'm glad to be able to share this experience with others who enjoy it as much as I do. This is my first time in a place like this. I didn't think they existed anymore. My Dad and I are enjoying every second of it! If you missed it, here is a link to the first thread I started about this place. There are more pictures and videos there. Enjoy! http://forums.aaca.org/f115/junk-yard-palooza-323760.html
