Guest dminer
Found these guys at an indoor market down the street. They're Danbury Mint, Pewter with no moving parts. No, they're not pencil sharpeners.lolThe price on them is $12.50/ea. I'm always shipping stuff for work, so if you're interested, lemme know by email or message here and I'll go buy them and we can do a pay-pal thing and I'll send all or one or whatever to you. I don't own these items. Edited March 6, 2012 by dminer (see edit history)
Restorer32
I was at a local auction Saturday. Franklin Mint models in the original boxes unopened were going for $5-10 each.
Guest dminer
Oh. I didn't know if they were a deal or not. Just really neat collector items I thought I'd pass on. Enjoy!
Restorer32
Danbury Mint models may be worth more or less. I have no idea. Just reporting what I saw for comparison.
rocketraider
Any idea of production dates? DM has been more into highly detailed diecasts for the last 20 years or so.Auctions can be misleading depending on who's there at the time. One that I attend often has old signage and depending on the audience, the signs go reasonable or stratospheric.
Restorer32
This auction was antique auto signage and models along with a large selection of John Deere stuff and the usual Hess trucks. They probably sold 200 various nib diecast models. I overpayed for a very solid and very tall visible gas pump. Wanted one for years, finally bought one.
