'54 Buick Restoration

I'm restoring my '54 Buick Special -- looking for answers to a few questions:

1) On two-tone, would the drip rail be the same color as the roof? Looks like under the drip rail would be the appropriate break for the two paint colors.

2) What color do I paint the underside of the hood?

3) Originally, was there some type of "hood insulation mat" ? There are a couple of rods on the underside of the hood that appear to have held insulation in place.

4) Does anyone have a cross-reference for the "French White" paint for the wheel pinstriping?

The under side of the hood is semi-gloss black. There would have been a hood insulation mat. The drip rail should be the same color as the roof.

I would guess you could cut the insulation to fit but I bet it fits right out of the box.

I just got a 1954 Special with 3 speed. If you want to compare notes or attempt to put our heads together in determining what was original let me know. As of right now mine has everything working. I did develop a leak in the manual transmission. Looks to be the input shaft. I need to investigate further.
