IMAG0443.jpgI took a few pictures of my 1988. I really like this car and only take it out once a week or so. The interior is flawless.

Hope it's a functional hood scoop to supply cool outside air to an aftermarket air filter intake.

Maybe it's just the lighting in the photo, but the gold pinstripe seems to clash with all the chrome bits. Maybe converting to gold trim or a silver or white pin stripe might look mo' better?

I'm thinkin it's a real hood scoop since it is directly over the area

where the air cleaner assembly is. Therefore, they must have cut a hole

in the hood for intake air. Just trying to figure out what hood that scoop

is off of.

IMAG0442.jpgSorry for the slow response. The scoop was put on because my son a few years ago laid his Honda 500 down on the hood and the handlebar dented and scratched the area. The car was covered and I did not discover the damage for over a month. I decided to put in a cold air intake and added the scoop. The seats are leather and perfect. The drivers seat was covered with a sheep skin and I though it would be in bad shape when I bought it. I was very happy to find out it was perfect! The car had 122K on it when I bought it 3 years ago. It now has 133K. The only thing I need to do to make it perfect are find out why the yellow ABS light is on (and repair) and replace the AC compressor this spring.

If you share some more details about the scoop installation, like where you found the scoop, cutting the hole etc., we'll help you with you yellow light issue. :)
