Guest jryan464
One reason I have avoided any '61 Chevs, Caddys or Buicks is the blasted "X" Frame. My only exception was I did own a '65 Rivera for a while and would like one back again. The only other exception might be a '64 Wildcat, but I like the '65 body better and it has the perimeter frame..just my two cents. Pontiac and Olds got it right. And they're both gone now LOL! Who knew?
Guest swarley
So where all GM X-frames the same or did each manufacturer have their own? Specifically, will a 57 Cadillac frame be the same as a 57 Buick frame? My friends 57 Buick has a cracked engine cross-member that has been welded before but keeps cracking and I have a 57 Cadillac parts car, it would be nice if he could just swap the frame. Thanks for the info.
28 Chrysler
No. I am afraid the Caddy frames are different.1957 Buick's had two types of frames, series 40 and 60 had one frame and 50 and 70 had another, (not very different)
