I sent Jack a P.M some time ago asking for forgiveness ;) ( Im really not sorry :D ) for my brutality, I like Jack and enjoy his posts, alot of times good for a laugh, he dosent have a problem with me either so no problems.

I worked at FO.MO.CO. at the world Headquartes, Dearborn MI. in the Fed.Cert. engine buildup department from 1978 to 1980. The term (short block) was used on engines with no head or heads. Dad worked at G.M. tech center in Warren Mi. from 1955 to 1971 on he W engine project (348-409) Same term was used also. Long block, with heads attached. My 2 1/2 cents worth:cool:
