To say making any performance enhancements for the Reatta has been troubling would be putting it mildly so I let it be known I would be interested in finding a new home for the beasty and 24 hours later it has has a new home!

Thanks all and take care!

Sorry to lose a PNW Reatta owner; there aren't many of us around. What will your next car be?

The car will only be going three houses down the street, am going to turn him onto you guys as part of the deal, he'll appreciate the help.

Myself, I haven't decided what will be next, am very happy with my 94 Saturn wagon and the Mighty Metro (street legal go kart)!

If you want a cult car you wear, look for a Fiero GT.

Funny you mentioned that, the Fiero market up here is so low that many owners of perfectly good Fiero GT's are parting them out rather than selling whole cars in order to make more....I have seen some really nice Fiero GT's up to 1988 go for well under two grand!

The place I had lined up to do the composite rear leaf spring is Vette Brakes in St. Petersberg Fla, the specs on the stock leaf are 3.5 inches wide by 48 inches long they still need a good sample to work from....contact is Gary (Engineer) at: 18002379991.

The front springs would be done by Hypercoil or Springworks, both require samples to work from.

Prices are actually quite reasonable but in the end I had a very hard time with all this work just to lower a car that is still seriously out of balance and under powered, but that was just me, I not only want it to look good but be able to back it up with real performance.

It's always best to start with the right tool for the job. Starting with a Reatta to build a high performance car is like starting with a mule and trying to win the Kentucky Derby. They were just not designed with performance in mind. You can make the Reatta perform better than stock but a Camaro or Mustang is a much better platform to start with if you want a performance car. Too much weight, too little horsepower, front wheel drive and lack of performance parts are all negatives when it comes to performance. Edited by Rawja
