Guest 51c8Joe
I have a 35 4 door that needs wood in bottom of drivers front and rear doors. Also will need to have metalwork done on door bottoms. I've found replacement wood from a Pennsylvania based provider, done per factory blueprints. My question is, do I get the wood installed before the metal work or metal work done first? I can see pros and cons for both scenarios. What do you think? Restorer32
Really they need to be done at the same time. We've rewooded/repaired dozens and dozens of doors over the years. Where are you located?
Guest 51c8Joe
I'm in northeast Tennessee, about midway between Knoxville and Johnson City/Bristol. I know they should be done at the same time, but finding someone locally with the required skills at a reasonable cost is a problem. Budgetary concerns mean I'll have to do much of the work myself and I'm trying to come up with a plan.
