Guest EBenjaminR
As the title would suggest and besides the obvious of the heads being different what would make these two engines physically different.Intake and exhaust manifoldsCylinder head and camsTiming belt Timing coversTurboCrankshaftConnecting rodsPistonsTimingWhat else am I missing? What about what was modified to make it fit under the hood...Fan shroud and motor? As for swapping engines, has anyone actually done this? I do believe Ive read somewhere of someone building a 16v from scratch, if so was there ever a write up on the procedure? Guest EBenjaminR
Fair enough. Would it be accurate to say that the only interchangeable part is the block?
89TC-16V
its fair to say the block is the only part that the 8V and 16V could possibly share and the motor mounts that hold it in the car
