motoringicons
SOLD SOLD SOLD!The estate wants to sell this car and the price has been reduced to a very reasonable 43,500.00This 1937 Packard Super 8 Club Sedan was sold new by Joy Brothers Packard in St. Paul, Minnesota. It has been owned by the current family for about 30 years. In 1990, the car was given a frame off restoration to proper and correct standards. In about 2000, the car was sent to Brian Joseph/Classic and Exotic Services and the entire drivetrain was rebuilt including a fully rebuilt engine, clutch, brakes, etc. This car has always been stored in a climate controlled building and has been serviced and maintained annually. Today, the paint, upholstery, chrome, woodgraining, glass, dashboard, etc are in excellent condition. Mechanically, it is probably the best driving Packard I have ever experienced and cruises without effort at 65-75 miles per hour. It has the proper Packard radio, heater, dual sidemounts with metal covers, trunk rack, etc. 1937 was the first year for independent front suspension and hydraulic brakes which make this a great long distance touring car. This Full Classic Packard is ready to use and enjoy. VIN# 1016-639. Located in Ann Arbor, MI. Reasonably priced at 54,500.00.Please call 734-730-4274 or email: motoringicons@hotmail.com to schedule a viewing or for more information. Thank you. motoringicons
No, sold to another Australian collector but Ozstatman runs the Packard club and registry in Australia and I have put the new owner and him in touch with each other.
Ozstatman
Just back from Hershey, a great event which I enjoyed immensely. Don't know about running the Packard Club, I'm just it's lowly Secretary! And yes, I've been in contact with the new owner and invited him to join the club, thanks to Motoringicons for facilitating that.
