BCA Professional judging class

In the last month, there have been post for special Buicks, the 1930 12 passanger bus and the 1938 Flxible Hearse are the most recent.

Don't forget the BCA has created a new judging class for these vehicles and everyone hopes more will appear at national meets. These are special Buicks modified for commercial use and I hope to see quite a few at Charlotte.

Just a question-

How would a car like a 1933 Buick Model 90 , 7 Passenger Sedan be judged ?

Is there a standard to go by.

Always wondered that.

Thanks

Sandy

Sandy,

I, for one, am a bit confused about your question. The "standard" is the BCA judging manual, which is available on this BCA site, or hard copy rom the ofice. The car would be BCA judged to how close it is to a 1933 Buick would have been in a dealership show room when new, using a system of deductions from 400 point total as a "perfect" example. As, we all know, when restored some of them end up "better than new".some even "overrestored", and some with "special" touches, which can lead to point deductions. If it is unrestored original, there is separte judging category.

I hope this helps, but it might be good to expand the question if you want specifics.

Thanks-

I've never had any car judged, I thought it was a deal where something is compared to a Gold Standard.

Probably a dumb question - Was just thinking.
