Upholstery Fabric Supplier?

Does anyone know of a good upholstery supplier who carries period correct replacement upholstery material that would be as close as possible to what came in a 1936 Buick? I'm gonna need it all... seat material, door panel covering, headliner, etc. Thanks in advance!

Jim- Thanks but I already checked into those guys... no doubt they have top notch stuff but I'm not looking to drop $2-3K for a full sewn and made-up "kit". My father-in-law is an awesome upholstery guy and he'll do it... I just need a source for the material itself.

You betcha-

Here's what I started with, a one owner car that began a full restoration, then a pissing match between the restoration shop & owner, and locked up for 20+ years.

Boxes, & boxes & boxes or parts, even a complete custom wire harness for a 33, box never opened. New engine, . etc., etc.

Go for it. FUN is the key word, meeting great people-

1936 is a great year, ANY model.

Go watch the movie Dick Tracy with Warren Beatty........

I'm restoring a 1927 Buick model 27-27 Woodie Wagon. I was down to Lebarron Bonney and they have all the correct fabric right in stock. I did my 48 Ford Conv. with their kits and looks exactly like the org. material. Nice people to deal with. I'm only about 1 hr and 15 mns from their place. Good Luck

Beautiful car Sandy!

PS We used Lebaron Bonney windlace in the coupe. Weren't too impressed with the head lining though. Quality wasn't that great, and needed a bit of work before we could hang it, but we're ex clothing manufacturers, so a bit of sewing is no great shakes for us!

Weren't happy with the windlace with from SMS either, the shop ened up getting it from their own supplier, still have the stuff, came in all narled up.

Fabric was great, broadcloth & carpet worked great. LB ( Hampton Coach ) had no idea about a 33 90, can't blame them, but were helpful. Got the shades from them, sides were about 2" longer then order, response was that's the best they could do. Took the fabric off the shades, they had them marked but forgot to cut to size. Depends on who you talk too.

They did my 34 Ford with no problem. Super kit.

After all was done, very happy

Thanks Grant, always great reading your posts-

Sandy
