NCReatta
Cane across an '89 riviera today with a rosewood interior in a u pull it. Pretty decent car inside, pretty ratty outside. It was rear ended too. Is this a rare color? I haven't seen it before. If anyone's interested, I can probably get some More parts.
RivNut
Rosewood is listed as code 192 for the cloth and 992 for the leather for interior colors for 1989. I've never seen one that I can recall.Ed
MCHinson
Marck,I realize this is an old post, but I am looking at a 1989 Riviera that has seats that look bad. The seats are a dark red or burgundy color. Is that Rosewood? If so, any chance that parts car is still available?
dship
Marck/Ed,I believe Mike & Nancy Book's 89 Riviera has a rose wood interior & exterior. They brought it to the ROA Lexington meet and the BCA South Bend meet. Fantastic looking color and I've only seen one...Mike & Nancy's... and at that time they were looking to sell. NCReatta
Matthew,Theres a burgundy and a rosewood, the rosewood has much more purple to it, and is unlike any interior color I've seen before. Mike and Nancy's is the only other one I've ever seen besides the U Pull It one.The one in the junk yard is long gone unfortunately. They don't keep cars linger than 21 days typically. If your Riv you're looking at has just a burgundy interior, they share that color with Reattas and other Buicks and Cadilliacs of the era.
MCHinson
Thanks. I suspect it is Burgundy. Hopefully, I will have it in the near future and I can start seriously trying to find a working CRT, a couple of interior door panels, a couple of seats, a center armrest, and a few Riviera emblems. NCReatta
I have working used CRTs (with warranty) as remaned units. Door panels are different from Reattas, so I don't have those, but the arm rest I do think I have in burgundy. Seats from a Reatta will work, but are different looking . But if that doesn't bother you i may have a set. Give me a call if you have any questions!
MCHinson
Thanks. I will be in touch as soon after I finalize the deal on the car.
