Dave Henderson
In the current Antique Automobile issue just received there is a fascinating article by present owner Bob White about the famous cowboy's Cord and its highly detailed and painstaking restoration. On the Cord, shown in period pictures, there were 2 medallions given to Mix by the king of Denmark. Mr. White went through hoops to gain permission, and no doubt incurred a lot of expense, to have them reproduced. I had it much easier, one of them turned up at a yard sale (for 50 cents) about 35 years ago, and has been on my XK120 Jaguar roadster ever since. Wish it could talk. Translation anyone? Bleach
It's the Danish equivalent of the AAA in the US. It translates to "United Danish Motorists".Their website is here:Forenede Danske Motorejere - din forbrugerside om biler | FDM
Dave Henderson
Thanks for the translation guys. In retrospect It would have been more fitting for me to have put the medallion on my Cord instead of the Jag.
