JO BO
Hi; I was wondering if anyone knows what were the basic colors offered by Cord during these model years? Thanks for your reply in advance
trimacar
For 1936-37, the following were factory exterior paint colors (however, not all models were available in all colors):Palm Beach Tan, Ganges Green, Black, Cadet Grey, Rich Maroon, Thrush Brown, Clay Rust, Geneva Blue, Cool Orchard Green, Cigarette Cream, Ivory. It seems that they couldn't come up with a good moniker for black, but they did a bang up job on the other colors!Just for fun, the Cigarette Cream color is the most debated color in the ACD club. The thought is that it was meant to match the cream color on the label of Old Gold cigarettes, then a very popular smoke. Any ACD meet will have cars with numerous interpretations of that color, however.

RU22
Near production's end they would paint the car any color you wishedLast few cars had both 810 and 812 parts on them.Anything to get a car together and sold. Quality never suffered however.I had a Sportsman that brought a lot of fire from so-called Experts
