Guest
what year skylark parts will also fit on my 66?
YellowLark
Not much. All body panels are different, as is most of the interior.
The 300 and 340 engines are the same, as is the suspension.
What are you looking for?
66400
Most parts from the same body style '67 Skylark will fit such as the fenders, doors, quarter panels, top section, all glass and dash panel.
Mark in Elgin, Tx. has 7 '66-'67 Skylark and Specials that he's parting out. His phone # is 512-303-0833 Henry
YellowLark
That is incorrect. The 1966 and 1967 body panels are different.
At the Columbus National, we had my 66 parked between two 1967 Skylarks. Nothing was the same below the roofline.
Sure, you could probably bolt a 67 front clip onto a '66, but the body panel shapes and curves are quite different. 66400
'66 and '67 Skylark fenders, doors, quarter panels, top section, glass and dash will interchange between the same body styles! Henry.
YellowLark
Henry,
Try parking a 1966 Skylark coupe and a 1967 Skylark coupe side-by-side and compare the body panels.
Not even close. Wish that it was so, but it isn't.
66400
This information is direct from the 42ST (covers 1966-1976 American cars) EDITION AUTO-TRUCK INTERCHANGE of THE HOLLANDER.
Hollander interchange # 1953 Buick Special '66-'67 2 Dr.h.t&conv.
Hollander interchange # 1345 Buick Special '66-'67 by cutting holes for ornaments
Hollander interchange # 110 Buick Special '66-'67 2 Dr.h.t. as outer repair panel
For personal 1st hand info I've used a '67 fender and door in rebuilding a '66 Skylark.
