zagato
I recently had trouble with my trans on my 1990 TC. The trouble came after my cooling system hoses were replaced and my radiator flushed. When I went to drive the car I could get no further than 5 minutes down the road when it would go into neutral and remain there until the trans fluid had cooled, whereupon it would once again drive normally. It seemed that there was an obstruction in the trans cooler line and the computer was overheating. Once that was cleared then it drove fine. I also chaged the fluid taking care that only the ATF+4 was use dand also a can of Sea Foam Trans Tune. The trans initially experienced a momentary shudder on a few occasions when going fromn 3rd to 4th gear, but now it shifts smoothly and better than before. Guest My TC Toy
Thanks for the info, every little bit helps.Personally I would never change the trans fluid without changing out the old filter. Any old debris in the filter can cause problems down the road. I know it is a dirty job, but well worth it in the end.Bob
zagato
Thanks for pointing out the filter. I actually did change it but forgot to mention.
