rocketraider
Oh boy. You've found a good one!:cool:This was part of a 1950s dealer demonstration for power steering. This switch would electrically disable the power steering pump for a comparison between power and non-power steering, in hopes of selling GM's new power steering system. Seems we discussed this switch on here a few years back. I'd have to dig to find it though. It may have been in one of the Oldsmobile club magazines, can't remember.Neat find! kgm0612
Glenn,Thanks for your informative response. I can only imagine that the switch was hooked up to some kind of solenoid devise that disengaged the pully belt. Kevin McGivern
Jahpastuff
Kgm0612 I saw another post by you relative to RAmbler American Clocks. I am in possession of a 61-63 housing and am looking for the guts for the clock. Could I ask you to respond via my email at gmail by the same name? Jahpastuff.
