Guest Jim_Edwards
I was looking at photos of the Hollywood Palace/Original El Capitan Theater that belongs to a close friend and ran across what appears to be an oddity in the form of what looks like 2/3rds size '46 Ford Woody sitting behind what looks like an early '50s Ford F-1 Pickup with telephone company markings. Anyone have any ideas on the smallish Woody. For history buffs the car rental place across the street became the location of the Capital Records building constructed in 1955. The overhang in the photo with the letters BC is from the era when NBC Television originated a number of productions from the Hollywood Palace Theater.Historic Photograph of Looking North On Vine St. From Hollywood Blvd. | Stock Number: VINE-023 | Historic Hollywood Photography for Sale

Guest Tarheel
This may just be the depth of field of the lens in the camera giving a distorted depth perception. The rear of the utility truck parked in front of the Woody and the overhang of the building both show this rapidly tapering effect. Also note the parking space lines directly behind the Woody, as to how short they appear.
