Guest my3buicks
Here is one of the prestigious 67 Special Deluxe's with the optional lap robe bars - only the highest end Buick's got to carry this distinguished option and the wealthy elite.Buick Buick | eBayAnd am I also seeing this car converted to a single 66 style master cylinder instead of the dual that was standard and federally mandated for 67? If so WHY would someone do such a dumb thing? Edited December 16, 2011 by my3buicks (see edit history)

NTX5467
I concur, "towel bars", possibly. By that time, everything "hard" was being covered with "soft, impact absorber" coverings, especially things which an occupant's head might contact, even with seat belts on. Most probably not "factory equipment". Looks like an interesting installation.Happy Holidays . . . from TEXAS!NTX5467

Guest BigDogDaddy
I remember my father's '67 Special. It was so decked out it looked like a Skylark, but it did not have the fake robe rails.
TG57Roadmaster
Wasn't this car featured in the Hope/Crosby classic, "Road to Vomitorium?"TG
