DCE
I am trying to rebuild the speedometer from my 1920 Dodge Brothers touring car. I am uncertain how to remove the speedometer needle from the shaft. Does anyone know how this is removed? Thanks for your help.
Guest MORRISGAUGE
Speedometer repair requires specialty equipment and expertise. I strongly recommend that you send it to a professional shop.
Guest 1930
I agree with Morris but will add the needle is usually held on to the shaft via a tension fit, the hole is pronged in other words and the tension of the prongs clamps the shaft.
