Restorer32
Are there significant differences between the pre-war Zephyr engines and the post-war examples? Is one less likely to overheat? Is one "better" than the other? Any engine parts that are near impossible to source? Thanks!
West Peterson
I think the 1942 engines are the ones that gave the engine a bad reputation, when they increased the displacement. Extremely hard-to-find parts include the proper air cleaner (for the Continentals). There is a guy in Florida who rebuilds/modifies the water pumps so that it should solve overheating problems.
