Guest shadetree77
Looks like somebody went a little crazy with some extra portholes they had laying around. What would you call this? A "Super Roadmaster"? "Roadmaster Deluxe" perhaps? It's on EBAY if anybody wants to take a closer look.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buick-Roadmaster-1952-Buick-2-door-Hard-Top-Kustom-Rat-Rod-Hot-Rod-Custom-Car-/130612622452?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1e691e7474

Leif Holmberg
Between 1949 and 1954 only Roadmaster had 4 porthols,in 1955 even Super got 4 portholes, and in 1956 even Century got 4 portholes. Leif in Sweden.

50jetback
I'm pretty sure those rear portholes are below the water-line - it'll never float!!See a second 1952 Buick in the background which is in similar condition - well rustwise.Would be a nice car restored - last of the straight eight Roadmasters - is that a 4 barrel carby and manifold on there? The rare body style probably makes this a worthy restoration candidate but it sure would be a long term and expensive proposition. Guest Jim_Edwards
Considering that old girl appears to have came with power widows I'd bet strongly on it being a Roadmaster Series 70. The 4bbl manifold is also a dead give away. As a side note that new Edelbrock carb sitting on it is almost worth 1/2 of the current bid price. TG57Roadmaster
Apparently the "Exhaustiports" were more popular than we thought...Found completely by surprise on another site, with no additional information.TG
PONTIAC1953
it has almost as many portholes as the RMS TITANIC, charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor.
Guest shadetree77
See a second 1952 Buick in the background which is in similar condition - well rustwise. He's got a second one for sale. It's in "slightly" worse condition though. Would be a good donor car for a project. It comes with fenders but no mention of a hood, engine, or trans. Don't think there's any "exhaustiports" on this one either.Buick : Roadmaster Buick : Roadmaster | eBayHe posted a Youtube video on the auction page of the other one running. Old girl sounds pretty good for as rough as that engine compartment looks. Edited December 7, 2011 by shadetree77 (see edit history)
NCReatta
Perhaps he just decided to supersede the inevitable rust holes in the rear fenders with exhaustiports..Either that, or it's the Roadmaster Super Deluxe Special Ultra.I'm going for the latter. 1953mack
These were a Buick "dealer option" for 1952 Buicks, available only on the West Coast, popular in the Southern California - Northern Mexico areas. The dealer promo literature on this item reads ".....adds interior comfort for the Owner/Driver. Aids in exhausting passenger's hot air and body odors, especially after visiting your favorite Mexican Restaurante. Order them now!....."Listed under BODY EXHAUST PORTS, Part # PU8x2BS. 50jetback
A fair bit of interest in this - 13 bidders and 19 bids.Less than a day to go so it may get into a real shoot-out as time runs out.
RivNut
It's definitely got a four barrel on it. If you scroll down through the pictures you'll see a picture of a new Carter 9000 Series Competition AFB on it. Could be as small as a 400 CFM or as large as a 750 CFM. That also means that it's not connected to the trans nor does the car have it's original pedal start. Guest shadetree77
Looks like the seller had some trouble with a non paying bidder. Don't you just love EBAY sometimes?? Anyway, she's back up for grabs! Now don't forget about the "rare" exhaustiport option on this one!Buick : Roadmaster Buick : Roadmaster | eBay
