DSpringer
I'm putting things back together after paint. The upper door seal (from Narragansett) looks sort of like the image pictured in cross section. Can anyone tell me which side faces up and which faces out?Thanks- Dave
peecher
In your pic the top edge goes up against the top edge of the door opening on the body. The left, flat side goes against the vertical section of the door opening. The edge of the door closes against the angled, right side with the top edge of the door closing slightly under the "lip" at top section. This seal extends from the back top of the rear door opening forward over the front door opening and down to the cowl. This one is easy but the vertical seals for the hinged ends of the doors are a challenge to get to if the doors are still installed. If your doors are installed I found applying adhesive to the vertical sections of the door in these hard to get areas via a small tube over the tip of the tube of adhesive works pretty well. DSpringer
Thanks much, Dee. You came through for me once again. I've had the doors off before and I think I'll pull them again to make the seal easier to install. I can visualize black goop all over my nice new paint if I try to do it with the doors hung.
