Guest civicduty13
Very nice cars. I had a 64 when I was 18. Loved driving the thing. Mine was nothing special but it was a gp.
PONTIAC1953
hi, what a nice pair of 62 g/p's, i used to have a 62 g/p myself, it was bamboo cream with a black carpet and white parchment interior, original tri-power car with roto hydramatic, power steering, power brakes, power antenna, power windows, and eight lug wheels. 389 was very tired and knocking, so i replaced the engine and trans with a 1970 455 360 hp, and 1967 buick wildcat short tailshaft switch pitch turbohydramatic 400. factory 425A cast iron headers, and all new dual exhaust. oh what a sweet high performance g/p it was then. charles coker, 1953 pontiac tech advisor. Guest myold88
After H.S. graduation in 1961 I went to work for Whipple Pontiac on L.I. One day the transporter was unloading new cars. The first one was a new '62 G.P. and several employees came outside to see this new model.- Maroon, white interior, tri power, 4 speed, 8 lug wheels, etc. To this day I remember that beautiful car.It turned out to belong to a H.S. friend. This was his graduation present from Garden City, N.Y. High School. I bet very few G.P's were built with the 4 speed trans.
