mrcvs
Regarding 1917 Maxwell: I have a leather fan belt and I suppose it has stretched over time and now the fan rubs slightly against the underside of the radiator filler tube. Is there any way to increase the tension on the fan tension spring to lower the fan or should I simply search for a belt that is shorter and thereby lower the fan in this manner? I would prefer to place more tension on this spring and save the leather fan belt as it is leather and in very good condition.
Guest fossiltin62
Use a belt link and shorten the belt. A lot of cars from that era had the belt done that way.
