Dave Mellor NJ
My mopar recognition is limited but I'd say this was a 26 Chryler trying to do division on a rare 33 Plymouth phaeton. This is bound to make Keiser and the mopar guys cringe. from Harms way on "vintage shots of days gone by"HAMB Edited November 30, 2011 by Dave Mellor NJ (see edit history)
Dave Mellor NJ
I based my plymouth guess on the dash but after seeing the regular opening door and the headlight hung off the grille I don't think so. What is it?
West Peterson
Is this a movie still? The car seems to have fallen apart much like a Laurel & Hardy gag. Notice the person still falling out of the car.
ply33
I based my plymouth guess on the dash but after seeing the regular opening door and the headlight hung off the grille I don't think so. What is it?Wheels don't look quite right for '33 Plymouth nor does the apron over the gas tank area look right. Only '33 Plymouth phaetons I've heard about were assembled overseas and usually had right hand drive. You are right about the instrument treatment being very much like a '33 Plymouth but the bottom of the dash board is shaped wrong. DavidAU
You might be right about the Movies West. It could be an early version of "scrap the Caddy Clyde" Three fenders, the radiator and the front apron ripped off and it looks like not a dent on any of them
Guest De Soto Frank
I think the phaeton might be a Ford, and the '20s sedan looks a lot like a '26-'27 Marmon...
Dave Mellor NJ
The Model a has a slanted windshield. Either a victoria or a slant window sedan

Guest De Soto Frank
When someone mentioned that it looked like a movie shot, I thought of "If I had a Million"... one of the great trails of car carnage in cinema ! Also one of Field's more definitive, if brief performances...." Drive, Rollo !!! "
