Guest bsatriple
The James Cunningham & Son of Rochester NY manufactured very high end cars from 1907 to about 1933. Packard was the major competitor. Packard established a land Speed Record with Ralph De Palma in Jan of 1919. So the Cunningham Co. decided to hire De Palma to do the same thing in one of their newly designed V-8 stock cars. They did so at Sheepshead Bay 11-17-1919. to Capitalize on the new LSR they make 7 replicas and referred to them as "DePalma Speedsters:I am especially interested in what happened to the original record car and the one that D.Cameron Peck acuired. The Peck car was pruchased by Briggs Cunningham and now is part of the Collier Collection. Your help is very much appreciated-bsatriple
WTSHNN
I am also wanting to learn more about the James Cunningham & Son company. I found these at the Hartung auction a few weeks back. Sorry but I can not help you with your specific questions. -Tim
