Guest Phil Cordery
Recently purchased a 1925 or 26 Master 6 , chassis number is 1472814, I thought it was an open tourer, but the top/hood is a fixed top, looks just like a normal tourer top, so I intend to modify it an open car, need a suitable set of top irons, I can source the wood bows myself, also side screens, I have the sockets on the car, If anyone can help please make contact. Thanks Phil.
ROD W
That is a 1926, 115 of these were built for export, model 26-49X Enclosed tourer where the hood did not fold. The model number is on a plate on the fire wall Rod
Guest Phil Cordery
Although the car is now in the UK I recently bought it in Kansas, is it one that escaped Export, or was it destined for a Hot state where the top was a sun shade. I will check the firewall number tommorrow, Thanks & lets hope someone can help me with the Irons. I felt such a fool when the car arrived & have 40 years experience in the old car world , I never dreamed when looking at the pics of the car that the top was fixed, it was only when we discussed whether to tie the top down for transport that I realised it was fixed !
