1959 Ford Ranchero

Recommended Posts

I'm not extremely familiar with the Ford Ranchero, but what I do know about this one is that it is an original California black plate car with just 61,661 original miles. One recent repaint in original code 66C Torch Red, and while it's possible that the interior is original, it just looks too nice to my eye. Either way, it's super clean and highly authentic. All the chrome and stainless is original and in exceptionally good condition. Even the bed is virtually unmarked.

It also has the rare top-of-the-line 352 cubic inch Interceptor Special engine, which makes 300 horsepower. The engine bay appears original and unrestored and still very presentable, with power steering and power brakes. Other options include factory-installed fender skirts, bed rails, and dual spotlights. 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission linked to a highway-friendly 2.91 gearset in the 9-inch out back. New dual exhaust that sounds more aggressive than stock, but in a good way, and it really runs well. Fresh whitewall radials on the original wheels with full wheelcovers, and a matching spare behind the passenger seat.

I can't remember the last time I saw one of these, and the big V8 makes it the Ranchero to own if you're looking for one. There can't be many nicer than this.

$39,900 or best offer.

I wish I could write a check for it! She's so beautiful. What a nice "friend" for my 59 Skyliner. They could play together!

The upholstery is new and I believe there are 2 pieces of chrome missing on the dash. One on the glove box door and the one that extends past the glovebox. I can't see the part to the left of the gages to see if it's on that side. I may be wrong, as the trucks may not have had that part. There should be a emblem on the glovebox door that states it has the interceptor engine option.

I would be interested in the front bumper guards. I have rears but no fronts.
