1930 Pres FE exhaust manifold needed

After cleaning and inspecting the exhaust manifold for my 1930 President FE 8 cylinder I have found several cracks and a couple are in spots that will not be repairable. Please let me know If someone may have one available. Thanks for your help.

This outfit advertises in Antique Studebaker Review newsletter. "empiremotorsinc.com" EMI, 13451 Montana Av, El Paso, TX 79938, 915-856-9607. They reproduce various cast iron parts including exhaust manifolds.

Do not deal with this guy at Empire. We contracted with him to make the president high compression heads three years ago. Out over 10K. Maybe we will see the heads someday, but until then he doesn't get any recommedation from me.

Also I have never seen one of the exhaust manifolds not cracked. I have approx 10 in my shop now. Lionel did reproduce them, but quailty was mixed. John McCall bought Lionels stock. Maybe he still has some or will have the foundry make more.

I think before you give up on your present ex.manifold you should take it to someone who can weld this unit up with cast iron repair rod. I had this done with one of my presidents and it is still working out very well (7 yrs). I did have to have the surface resurfaced as the repair did cause the manifold to warp. Out side of money what do you have to loose ?
