Guest Trzbme
Just looked at my first Model T and wanted to see if anyone has any feedback on the engine. See photos. The car is titled as a 1917 Speedster. It has a few aftermarket items and fenders seem to have been swapped. But the motor is something harder to correct. I could only see a few numbers on the block. Thanks in advance.
oldford
The stamped numbers are the serial numbers and if it is between 1,614,517 and 2,449,179 then it is a 1917 production engine.Frank
Guest Trzbme
Thanks Frank for the answer. Hard to see my photo but it looks like either 2,523,064 or 2,923,064 so not within the range either way.
dwollam
IMHO speedsters are cool and are non stock cars anyway so what difference does it really make what year the engine is or how it is titled? If you like it and the price is right, buy it and enjoy! Assuming it is for sale, that is.
Guest Trzbme
Dave, It is for sale and I agree with you. However, anything that may be used to save me a buck in the deal is good info. Cheers, Richard
