Guest 56 Cadillac
Hello everyone, I have just finished a ground up restoration of my 1956 Cadillac convertible. For safety sake I am going to install seatbelts.Trouble is I cannot find anybody who has seatbelts in the color to match my cars leather seats. (bottom color)I have posted a pic, color is like buckskin or tan.Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.
DavidAU
You could try Julianos Hot Rod Parts. They sell quite a few different types of seat belts in about 35 different colors.Juliano's Hot Rod Parts & Interior Products - Custom Car & Street Rod Accessories

Steve Braverman
Believe it or not, I've found the best selection and prices on seat belts at JC Whitney.
Guest Jim_Edwards
Any number of Seat Belt makers on the Web are capable of supplying belts in up to 30 webbing colors and often with the exact same hardware used by OEM's even for cars produced in the 1950s and 1960s. Guest South_paw
Your best bet is to go with a contrasting color. You should be able to find belts to match the upper color. That won't look bad at all. Plus I would recommend that you use seat belt retainers to retract the belt while not in use. This helps you in 2 ways. When the belt isn't in use it can't be seen much so color isn't as important. The second way it helps you is you don't have the belts just lying over the seats scratching the leather.
