X-Frame
For those who have been following my threads know that I am working on a project dealing with the history of automobile X-frame designs.I know the Franklin for 1933-34 had an X frame and wondered if there are any diagrams in shop manuals of it - such as alignment dimensions or lube... and/or any photographs from restorations showing the bare frame?Any help greatly appreciated!Eric
Franklin31
go to the hhfranklin club site; you can purchase the complete blueprint photograph from: hfranklin32@verizon.net
Steve Braverman
The only Franklins to have an X-member in the frame was the Olympic, which wasn't a Franklin frame at all, but a Reo frame. The V-12 may have had an X-member also, I've never been under one. In any event, Franklin produced very little documentation toward the end. Here is a photo of a friend's 1933 Series 18B Olympic frame.

X-Frame
Here are some lube charts of the Franklin and Reo but these later years don't seem to share frames?Thinking if the oil companies have acces to frame layout diagrams then there must have been some in certain manuals or bulletins?
