Vintman
Hi Folks,Bit confused by this one as it looks a cca 1936/7 GM product but I cannot make out which. Seems to have a seam down the middle of the mudguard (fender). Would asppreciate your help.RegardsVintman (UK)www.svvs.org

nzcarnerd
1938 Nash Lafayette I reckon. The 1937 cars have finer grill bars.
Vintman
Many thanks Dictator. Just before you answered I noted that we had a very similar car on our Help Page 35 but that the grille had many more horisontal bars and was a 1937 Nash. Looking at the web this could be a 1938 with fewer bars. It looks on our proto as though the hood had a rectangualar louvre which would presumably make it an Amassador rather than LaFayette??Regards

nzcarnerd
No I reckon it is a Lafayette because of the front bumper design.
Dave Mellor NJ
Here's one in Wellingtonhttp://www.nashcarclub.org/inquiry/38-nz-museum.html Edited November 2, 2011 by Dave Mellor NJ (see edit history)
dictator27
The Lafayette bumper does not have the styling lines at the outer ends that are evident in the first photo. Also the chrome trim on the side of the engine hood on the Lafayette is narrower and tapered slightly from front to rear. The Ambassador hood trim is the same width over its length and appears to incorporate a vent. I think it is an Ambassador 6.Terry
