Dave Mellor NJ
Goodwill is presently reeling from selling a supposed Ambrotype print of Robert E Lee which they got in with the run-of-the-mill donations. Previously unknown, they got it authenticated by less than an expert. With that they advertised it as genuine and sold it on eBay for the astounding sum of $23,500. They had a party until the bidder, himself a civil war authority, cast doubt on its validity. To their credit, they refunded the money in full, but the experience taught them a lesson. They say they'll try again but with no guarantee.
Dave@Moon
I think it would be kind of hard to counterfeit an entire 1960 LeSabre.
